Children and youth
Sverresborg, Trøndelag Folkmuseum aims to become a regional primary attraction for families with children. We have initiated a major project working to develop new activities and arenas for children at the museum, and results will show within the next months and years.
Already today, our young visitors can enjoy a multitude of offers, including playing at the deep sea or in Captein K´s ship in the indoor exhibition, being one of King Sverres´s Birkebeiner soldiers at the ruins of his medieval castle, playing with toys from the past in the old city and constructing and building log houses large enough for children to enter.
During the summer season we offer daily drama-based guided tours for families and exciting activities in our creative work-shop. Our large outdoor area allows children to run around freely and experience and enjoy the special atmosphere of Sverresborg.
During the summer there are animals at the museum: sheep, ducks, hens, rabbits, pigs and a horse.
